Tussar Silk Fabrics

Tussar silk, also known as Kosa silk is a wild type of silk that is obtained from a special species of moth that live in the wild, unlike the mulberry Silkworm. Tussar silk is lustrous, bright and is textured than any other variety of Silk. The fabric is also cooler than the other varieties and is a lot more porous, therefore, breathable. Being cooler than the other varieties of Silk makes Tussar extremely wearable in warmer parts of the world. It is also durable due to its short fibre length. Muga Silk belongs to same family as Tussar. It is popular for its natural golden colour, glossy fine textures and durability. Our Tussar silk and Muga silk comes from the region of Bhagalpur which is also called as the "Silk City of India".
